Designers

Our designers

We are very interested in eye-catching shapes and beautiful details but our aim is not to design products ourselves. The products are born in a creative process with external architects and designers.

Our Danish and international designers are all enjoying success within architecture, urban space, furniture design, lighting and other long-lasting consumer products. A mix of old experienced designers and new upcoming talents - all filled with enthusiasm and a passion to provide new experiences - and hopefully becoming the authors of new design icons within outdoor furniture.

Nation

NATiON is a design company based in Copenhagen, Denmark. The company was founded in 1996 by Hans Christian Asmussen.
For the first few years we worked primarily in advertising. After this we slowly changed focus towards graphic design.

Now we’ve topped off with product design. All this design work is based on a deep understanding of client needs, design and design theory.

Verner Panton

"The main purpose of my work is to provoke people into using their imagination. Most people spend their lives living in dreary, grey-beige conformity, mortally afraid of usning colors. By experimenting with lighting, colors, textiles and furniture and utilizing the latest technologies, I try to show new ways, to encourage people to use their phantasy imagination and make their surroundings more exciting".

Verner Panton, 1926-1998

I believe that we could be living in an entirely different world - one that is full of real contemporary inspiring objects, spaces, places, worlds, spirits and experiences. Design is not about solving problems, but about a rigorous beautification of our built environments.

I concentrate on the functionality but the design must also include a human touch - something soft that touches you and makes you feel good.

His motifs centre on dreams, sexuality, religion and metamorphosis. He quickly developed megalomania as his creative force. Using his minutely detailed, classically academic technique, which he himself termed ”hand-painted dream-photographs” he created images that let him surpass reality with his fantasy visions and become one of the most famous artists of the 20th century.
