LIGHTSPOT
#The idea bank consists of products that have not yet been put into production or are custom made.
LightSpot is the result of a scientific research project - a collaboration between the Aarhus School of Architecture and Kollision, out-sider, Mads Walberg, Aarhus Municipality, Martin Professional and with support from Realdania.
The idea of LightSpots is to create urban furnishing elements, that interact with each other, and with the people around them. We call them LightSpots, both because they can lighten up an existing space and add something playful, elements of surprise and informal socializing - and because they invite you to interact end experience in a new way. At night the LightSpots will have a warm, inviting glow. When you sit down on one, the light will intensify. In certain time slots, an extra light source will be activated from a slit in the side of the module: a precise laser beam. As the modules rotate, the laser beam can be used as a switch to start various interactions between the modules (for example change of colour, sound etc.)
This project has been temporarily set up in central Århus until the end of 2013 and is subsequently to be tested in other cities and constellations before launching as a standard item.
