Polyethylene

Polyethylene (PE) is a thermoplastic material made from mineral oil. We utilize 100% recycled PE and a 100% recyclable PE, which can be ground and reused up to 7 times. Its flexible nature and ability to take on different colors offer a variety of possibilities for creating unique urban furniture. The material thrives in demanding use and has the ability to withstand challenging weather conditions, with a lifespan of 30 years

Proces

Polyethylene (PE) is molded through a rotational process. We primarily use MDPE, which is medium-hard and suitable for large objects, offering high rigidity and durability. The material is pigmented throughout and typically has a thickness of 6-10mm.

First, the colored raw material, PE powder, is poured in a precisely measured quantity into a steel or aluminum mold. The mold is then heated in an oven to around 270 degrees while rotating on its axis for approximately 20-40 minutes. After this period, the mold is cooled for about 40-60 minutes, then opened, and the finished molded object is removed. To achieve the ideal shape, the object is subjected to air pressure while cooling completely. Any molding residue on parting lines is removed, and the object is then ready for packaging. The entire process typically takes about an hour per object. This meticulous rotational molding process ensures that each item achieves the desired quality and durability

Maintenance

Maintenance of Polyethylene (PE) is a simple process. The material’s resistance to moisture and weather means it does not require frequent care. PE tolerates nearly all cleaning agents. A high-pressure cleaner can be advantageously used for cleaning.

Following a thorough cleaning, the surface can further be refreshed with products such as car interior cleaner. PE retains its colors well and is minimally bleached by the sun
