Wood
Wood is a living and authentic material, and each piece of wood is unique with its own pattern and warm color tones. It is precisely this characteristic that makes wood natural and beautiful. Over time, the wood surface will be affected by weather conditions. Consequently, surface cracks may appear, which are primarily cosmetic and do not affect the structure and durability of the wood

Process
We only select wood that meets the requirements for durability class I, which is the most readily available. As we also offer FSCยฎ and PEFC-certified wood, we support sustainable management of this renewable resource

Wood benefits
Sustainable
Wood is a renewable resource because trees can be grown and replanted, contributing to reducing the burden on non-renewable materials
Natural beauty
The warmth and natural appearance of wood add an aesthetic appeal to any environment. Each piece of wood is unique with its own pattern and color tones
Durability
Some wood species are extremely durable and resistant to mechanical stress and wear. Wood can maintain its strength for many years provided it is properly maintained
Hellwood & Iroko
Hellwood is European ash wood that has been through the fire to toughen it against all sorts of hellish trials. And there are more than enough of those out there: UV rays, rain and acid rain, fluctuating humidity levels, frost, extreme heat, and so on. Our preservation process provides the fibers with greater internal stability and increases their resistance to decay. In this way, we achieve a wood that belongs to Durability Class I, just like the very best tropical wood. An attractive side effect of the process is, of course, the wood’s dark color. Choose wisely. Like other wood species, Hellwood will gradually become rougher and start to turn gray as a result of exposure to sun and rain. Small cracks and fissures may also occur as part of this process. We strongly recommend treating the furniture with our wood protector. This 100% natural oil controls the moisture level in the wood, helping the planks remain stable for longer periods, and the oil layer also prevents spilled liquids from being absorbed, so stains tend to remain superficial. It’s best to repeat this treatment regularly.

Maintenance
Wood is a living material that constantly adapts to changes in temperature and humidity. Despite the superior quality of the wood species, exposure to sun and rain will gradually change the color to silver-gray and make the surface rough.
We recommend treating your wood regularly with wood oil to protect it
