Urban art is now coming to life in the city! Our LOOP furniture has been transformed into canvases for beautiful paintings that highlight the green environment.

The municipality created a “Walking Park”. It is located near the Labyrinth artwork on the Nijmeegse Waalkade. This park consists of 35 planters filled with plants and trees and 5 Loop ARC benches, all made of recycled plastic. Every three months the Walking Park moves to a different location in the city center. Depending on the location, the park varies in size and shape. The Walking Park creates awareness about the importance of biodiversity and greening in the city center of Nijmegen. Greenery makes the city center more attractive, contributes to better quality of life and reduces heat stress. In addition, the park is used as a platform to promote two pillars of Nijmegen city marketing: Young Vibe and Health & HighTech. Using street art, colorful images have been applied to the planters and benches that promote these themes. They used the recycling version of the Loop ARC benches. Originally they have an anthracite grey color. The cheerful and colorful benches of the Walking Park were painted by Vincent William of art company Combolution and then varnished. The benches are filled with water to weigh them down, so that they do not have to be anchored to the ground. This makes them easy to move to the next location in the city center.
